There are only a handful of programs that maintain a low student-teacher ratio. We are fortunate to have the best teaching staff on the island to help care for and teach your child.

Cynthia Kim - "Aunty Cynthia" joined the Toddler Program in August 1995 as Director/Teacher. Prior to the Toddler Program, Aunty Cynthia taught at Epiphany School for 21 years. She strongly believes in nurturing young children with encouraging words, a loving heart, and teaching them to love God. Research has shown that Zero to Five is the most important development period for the child. With this challenge in hand, Aunty Cynthia made the decision to work with young children. Aunty Cynthia has a son who lives on Maui with his wife and two young boys. Her daughter also live on Maui. She enjoys walking, reading, eating and fellowshipping with friends. On Sunday mornings you can find her at Wellsprings and is a member of Kawahinealli.

Miss Tamara - Tamara Dakujaku came to us from the island of Hawaii. This Hilo girl has been a real blessing to us with her warm and friendly disposition. She has made Oahu her home with her son, Tyren. Tamara loves the great outdoors, in fact she is a qualified lifeguard. She can be found walking, biking, or swimming with her son on the weekends. On Sunday mornings, you can find Miss Tamara at New Hope. This is Tamara's fifth year at the Toddler Program. She joined us as an aide in August 1997 and quickly rose to Lead Teacher for the two year olds. She has a BA. in Natural Science and a certificate in Early Childhood Education.

Miss Dawn - Dawn joined to the Toddler Program as a substitute and eventually became a tull-time teacher. Currently she teaches our spirited 3 year olds. She has her BA degree in Elementary Education from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She enjoys dancing hula, running and spending time with her friends. She is also an active member of Wellsprings.

Miss Stanell - You are always welcomed with a warm hug and "Aloha" from Stanell Koanui. She recently received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Religious Studies from Chaminade University. The Toddler Program is truly blessed to have her on her very first year of teaching! Miss Cynthia Kim and Stanell teach the 4 year old toddlers as a team. "I believe that building a Christian and loving foundation begins with the little ones."

Miss Jenny - Jenny came to the Toddler Program 2 years ago and currently assists Miss Dawn with the 3 year old class. She is planning on returning to school for her CDA in Early Childhood Education. During her free time, she enjoys being with her son, and dancing teaching hula. Jenny belongs to Kawahinealiinoanuenue Halau and attends Wellsprings.

Mr. Justin - It is a great blessing to have a young man around the school! Justin assists Miss Tamara with the 2 year old class. His experience at The Toddler Program has convinced him to pursue a full-time career in Early Childhood Education. At 20 years old, Justin enjoys going out with his friends and playing basketball.

Miss Jacie - Jacie is our creative one. She writes:

"We needed a program with a loving and intelligent staff, and a low student to teacher ratio for our daughter's special circumstances. We found what we were looking for, and so much more, at The Toddler Program. All the children benefit greatly from the low student-teacher ratio. Our daughter made huge progress in self-help, social, and language skills. The Toddler Program is also a neat place for parents. You are always warmly greeted and welcome to visit and stay. We contributed our time and resources to the program, and got the unexpected gift of lasting friendships, and strengthened Faith. I can't think of a better way for a child to start their school experience, than with The Toddler Program."  C&S L.
